Poets at the picnic spoke to the question: "What is the
responsibility
of the poet in society?"
Art
from Ashes youth joined us, and Denver Office of Cultural Affairs
brought

EDUCATION
Power of the Word
Access Idiom is now working with
Skyland Community High School in Denver. Our goal is to
provide at least one poet/teacher per month to work in the
classrooms through the school year 2007-08.
Playshop/workshop Schedule (here)
This work furthers Access Idiom's purpose of
facilitating collaborations between poets, educators, and
individuals and groups, where the development of language
arts and artistic creativity can be enhanced through the
exploration of poetry with skilled and caring educators.
If you have experience in giving poetry
workshops and would like to be involved please contact us
about opportunities.
words@accessidiom.org If you are
involved with institutions or groups that would benefit from
these types of collaborations please contact us. |
